This book is a psychological thriller with lead character Rachel being a divorced woman that is also an alcohol addict. She loved her ex-husband until one day she comes to know that he was in an affair with another woman and later he divorces her. She loses her mind as her psyche kicks in her sometimes, especially when she is drunk and creates chaos and confusion among her ex-husband’s family. The train that she rides each day passes by her old neighborhood bringing in memories of her past, which she could never bury. She also gets pleased as she sees a couple from the window of her train every day spending romantic moments with each other in their porch. She picturizes them as the best couple ever and gives them imaginary names and has subconsciously wished and hoped the best for their marital life. The story suddenly twists and thrills when the woman of her imagination gets murdered and she was somehow involved and since she was drunk that night she would not remember until later in the story.

Told from different points of view in a very gripping way and the voices of the characters being unique and compelling, this book is definitely a page turner.
